This Thursday evening starting at 6:30 the south east fly fishers club will be meeting at the fish and game building. The meeting will consist of fly tying to fill auction boxes for the Idaho falls expo in April. Make sure to swing by and get your tie on!
Our next demo is planned for this upcoming Friday (Feb 2nd)! We will have D-Bone from Hawg Fish showing us a couple of his top streamer patterns. Along with the tying demo there will be a Art walk happening through all of old town. The demo will run from 5-8pm, and welcomes everyone to come watch some awesome fly tying!
Fly tying classes start next week, Beginner class held on Tuesdays and intermediate classes on Thursdays at 6:15pm on those nights. Give the shop a call if your interested or contact the Fly Professor Dave at (208) 406-4593. Also, the Idaho five rivers club is having an Ice Fishing derby Tomorrow morning at sportsman park in American falls reservoir.
Fishing has been picking up below AF dam with these warmer temps. The water is clean and the fish are happy. The best way to gain access to the best water is by boat, and SRF has you covered on that end! Water Master rentals from the shop are $40 bucks a day and get you to your favorite stretch! Give us a call or swing by the shop if you have questions.
Tonight at the Fish & Game building there will be a presentation regarding more access points to come on the Pourtneuf river around lava. The presentation starts at 6:30 tonight. Also don't forget we will be in Boise this weekend at the Western Fly Expo. Hope to see you all at both events!
