Start your fly tying journey with the crew down at SRF. Years of experience for all types of patterns and great step by step instruction. All the classes listed above have a $100 class fee. Includes tools and materials during the class for the bugs you will be tying. 3-4 week course meeting once a week.
Weather you are looking to build a fly rod or spin rod we got you covered. Huge selection of blanks and components are at your finger tips. these classes run $100 plus components to assemble your rod. 3-4 week course meeting once a week.
Intro to Fly Fishing
Great introduction into the sport. This class covers basic casting, rigging, fly selection, and what to look for while on the water. Clinics runs $50 and will meet for one session down at Snake River Fly.
Spey/Switch Casting Clinic
SRF has teamed up with Loop Tackle to provided instruction from one of the best in the biz Klaus Frimor and use some of the most advanced rods in reels in the sport. Generally have one clinic scheduled for the spring and fall each year. The clinic price is $50 and is held on the water. Equipment is provided but you are more than welcome to bring your own gear.
Calling all ladies! This is an excellent opportunity for any of you fishy gals to learn from one of the best. Sue Talbot is hands down one of the best out there when it comes to fly fishing and teaching the sport. Clinics run $50 bucks for an evening of instruction. This clinic covers casting, rigging, and what to look for while on your next trip. Usually have one or two in the spring and fall.
