Date 3/17/2026

Snake Below American Falls Reservoir:

Currently sitting at 1060CFS and the reservoir is at 77% full. Flows are slowly going to start rising towards summer flow. The flow its at still allows for great walk and wade access and should stay around this area for the next couple weeks. Worms, eggs, balanced leeches, and smaller nymphs have been the ticket.

South Fork Snake River :

Flows out of the dam are sitting around  911CFS. The river is in great shape and fishing well. Water is at its winter flow and low. Wade access has opened up and fishing the pools is the name of the game. Smaller nymph set ups along with rubber legs and leeches has been producing. Yet again with warmer temps we are seeing some late season dry fly action!

Henrys Fork:

Starting to shape up and seeing some BWO and midge activity. Should see the nymph fishing pick up with warmer temps the stones should start crawling soon.

Portneuf:

River remains in great shape and flow. Small streamers in darker colors, and Small beatis nymphs and scuds.

Bear River below Oneida:

The bear has been fishing really well. Below and the black canyon stretch. Clarity is solid and fish have been eating a little bit of everything.

Still waters & Lakes: A lot of lakes are pretty much ice free and starting to fish! Time to get the boats out.
